Whether your water source is a clear mountain spring or a silt filled lake, it has never been more important to remove harmful metals, chemicals, and contaminants from environmental changes along with human modernization. The use of Activated Carbon has been found to be one of the best natural compounds for filtering out those unwanted elements while also improving taste and color clarity. The Activated Carbon Filter, along with the Pressurized Jerry Can is the perfect filter to protect your family.
The Activated Carbon module is made up of mixture of activated carbon and ion-exchange microbeads. Activated carbon adsorbs chemicals and heavy metals, and improves the taste and color of the contaminated water. The ion-exchange microbeads are an organic polymer substrate. These beads are porous, providing a large surface area for removing pollution, poisonous, and heavy metal iron from the water. The ion-exchange replaces these negative ions with innocuous ions, such as sodium and potassium.
Additionally, this combination will remove unhealthy organic compounds such as chlorine, pesticides, herbicides, gasoline, and diesel. The adsorption of these various compounds improves the taste and the color of water transforming it into the perfect way to refresh yourself while camping, traveling, or in an emergency situation.

Simple, inexpensive, and effective. If you're filtering anything but pristine water, it's well worth it.

Quite Satisfied,...
The charcoal filters seem to work as advertised. You just need a lot of them. The HydroBlu filters are rated to be good for 100K gallons. The charcoal is rated for about 26 gallons. Huge difference. I fill 3 gallon bottles from our well for drinking and cooking water. This is filtered and with our well being rather shallow the added benefit of filtering out chemicals from nearby farm fields is well worth the expense. Will be ordering more soon.

Great addition!
This is a great addition to an already great filter. I teah wilderness survival ( OCHOCO BUSHCRAFT on YouTube) and use HydroBlu filters exclusively. Now even better with this carbon attachment to remove chemicals, pesticides, etc.

Great and versatile...
Really enjoyed the ease of use on this filter add on. Testing with a gravity setup, filter time is roughly doubled when using it with a versa flow, but the water comes out even cleaner. It’s small enough to keep on hand during backpacking trips and screw on to your main filter if your water source seems sketchier than usual. It’s versatile just like the base filter and we’ll always keep it on hand.

Great water filter accessory!
The carbon filter accessory for my versatile works great! It improves the taste of the water and I really like the screw on attachment to the versaflow. Much easier than the competitors. The cost is lower too. Kudos to HydroBlu for their integrated approach to better tasting water!

It helps the taste of the water but...
Been a huge fan of the versa flow since i first used one. The carbon attachment is a great addition but it does slow down the flow rate to the point where it doubles all times. Ill be doing a full review over on The Titan Preparedness Channel on YouTube. Previously reviewed other Hydroblu products. https://youtu.be/C1-AxXnTC0w

Modular
Works fantastic with the VersaFlow. I enjoy that it’s a modular component so I don’t have to bring it if I know the water will be clean enough to use only the filter.
