It helps the taste of the water but...
Been a huge fan of the versa flow since i first used one. The carbon attachment is a great addition but it does slow down the flow rate to the point where it doubles all times. Modular
Works fantastic with the VersaFlow. I enjoy that it’s a modular component so I don’t have to bring it if I know the water will be clean enough to use only the filter.

Not...
It is almost perfect but not the perfect system. Because while the hollow fibre stops particulates and microorganisms including bacteria and protozoa, and the carbon stops chemicals and heavy metals, the system doesn't stop viruses. Larger filters such as the grayl bottle filters will stop everything including viruses, while uv treatment such as the steripen, and chemical treatments such as tablets or drops with chlorine dioxide (same chemical as used in water treatment plants) will also kill viruses. Therefore the complete treatment would be the hydroblu hollowfibre filter + the hydroblu carbon filter + one of the above options to deal with viruses.

Easy to use, improves water...
I tried water filtered through versa filter with and without carbon filter add on and it tasted noticeably better with carbon filter. My friends have bought them for their Sawyer filters as well!

After I added activated carbon in my Versa flow, I tried to use it for water that contains chlorine, it turns out that the chlorine taste is gone

The Greatest!
I highly recommend the HydroBlu Versa filtration system. Add the Activated Carbon Filter, and you have the perfect water filtration. I have used other filtration systems and can tell you there is no comparison. HydroBlu is the way to go!
