Almost perfect -
I received this and just tested at home in prep for: (1) train trips (the water on the train tastes terrible), as a gravity filter with my CNOC pouch, and (3) stream side as a straw. The very bad: All configurations worked well at home – after I chased the loose dark grey gasket as it dropped, with no resistance and as if it was running for its life. That loose dark grey is central to any configuration =-= and does not stay in the key component – the pre-28 mm module. That gasket falls out every time I as I hold the module to connect or disconnect. Every time. There is no possible way I will be able to keep track of this single gasket – a runaway critical component that will be nearly invisible on the trail (and it ROLLS). Please make a gasket that stays put. The good -- I was hoping the straw configuration would allow me to drink from the steam with a dirty hose (not included in this product but I added it in my purchase) connected and in the steam. It works! I recommend adding a dirty hose to the MUV Survivalist product.

FANTISTIC PRODUCT / HORRIBLE...
The compact, ergonomic, modular design of this product is fantastic. The small print directions that contain NO illustrations are horrible. This is definitely a product where a picture would be worth at least 100 words. It is astounding that a company capable of such impressive product design, would also produce such inadequate instructions

Great filter if you don't follow the...
I love this filter. The only issue I have is that the modules are not ordered correctly for some unknown reason. The order that would be correct is 2-1-3. The reason is that what the modules filter out overlaps so it's important to run water through the module with the longest life first. You want module 2 first so it keeps as much as possible out of the carbon module.

Just rec'd the unit. There is one page of small print written instructions. A couple photos or pictograms of the different attachments and their use would be a big help.
