The Versa Flow was designed to be as versatile as you. It easily adapts to your lifestyle and can be screwed onto a plastic water bottle, used inline with your hydration pack, used as a gravity system or bucket filter, or can be used as a straw so you can drink directly from the water source.
Versa Flow is now even better with a Hydroblu Collapsible Canteen included FREE!! It's 64 oz. of carrying capacity that rolls up to fit in your pocket.
The Versa Flow water filter is one of the lightest and most convenient personal water filters on the market. Weighing in at only 2 ounces you don’t have to worry about adding extra weight to your pack or try to find a dedicated spot for it. It will fit virtually anywhere. This water filter is perfect for backpacking, hiking, camping, travel, and emergency preparedness.
Although it is lightweight, it is heavy in features. Every filter is built to exacting standards and exceeds EPA standards for filtration. The Versa Flow has many tiny tubes called hollow fiber. Hollow fiber works through size exclusion. Meaning the hollow fiber tubes have thousands of tiny holes (0.1 microns) that block 99.999999% of harmful bacteria, and 99.999999% of Giardia, E. coli, protozoan cysts and Cryptosporidium. All of these organisms are too large to fit through the 0.1 micron holes. Some manufacturers filter the water through the core of the hollow fiber tubes, but this restricts water flow because only so much water can fit through the core opening. We filter water through the outside of the tubes by bending the hollow fiber. This dramatically increases the surface area and flow rate of the filter while protecting the filter integrity itself. If the core of the tubes become clogged from sediment on the competitors filter you can no use the filter. The Versa Flow allows you to be able to backflush the filter, clearing out all of the particulate and increasing the lifespan of the filter. If you consistently backflush the filter you can use it almost indefinitely. This means no additional filters, cartridges, pumps, iodine drops, or batteries to ever buy again.
The Versa Flow water filter does not remove chemicals or viruses from water. Generally viruses are not found in North America or in municipal water supplies around the world. Check out the Clear Flow if you are concerned about heavy metals or chemicals in your water. Lightweight and low cost, the Versa Flow should be in everyone's backpack, survival gear or travel bag.

Works great! Used with pint water bottles and mountain river water. Put a lot of water through it on trip. Saw no reduction in flow. I did clear out with a syringe backwards when finished and dried.

Excellent product that comes with an excellent ...
I needed a filter like the Versa Flow for some time now. I already have 3 similar water filters, 2 for drinking water straight from the source, and one (almost identical) which fits and works with the water bottle that comes with it. They are all working very well, and are of good quality. But I needed another one (or more pretty soon) that can fit and work with my hydration camels. And this is the one. You see, when you hike into the desert with infrequent (if not rare) water sources, fatigue and difficult terrain, some times you ran out of water, and you need to refuel from any paddle or little water hole you can find (if you are lucky). And then, you need to go on and on and on. So, it is not a bad idea to fill your hydration packs for the following miles. However, you need to purify that darn water at all times. And here is when the Versa Flow comes to play. With this little filter connected to the hose attacked to the hydration camel, the only thing you need to do is simply suck the water from the hose. You don't waste time, don't lose your pace, and everything is cool. So, yes, I LOVE this water filter. Another thing to always remember is that you NEED to clean the filter thoroughly after each and every use. And then dry it up completely. The filter must stay clean and dry at all times, so the filtration system will work for as long as it is designed for. And not collect bacteria or microbes by being dirty or moist. If you follow this advice, the Versa will not disappoint you. This is a good filter and an excellent idea. Definitely a keeper in my book, and SO highly recommended!

great filters
Having been using other brands of water filters for years I have recently found hydroblu to be superior. I've just returned from Jacmel, Haiti where we installed 100 bucket filters in a remote village that has no other water than local contaminated river water. The filters flow well and clean easily. They will last for 100"s gallons in this environment. The folks at hydroblu are great to work with and really care about helping others less fortunate than ourselves. Thanks for caring.

Clean water is life.
My wife and I travel annually to Balan, a region of Haiti. We try to be prepared for any situation when we travel, so clean drinking water is a top priority in our preparation. In Balan, like most of Haiti, the water is contaminated. Fortunately, our host there provides us clean drinking water, but we travel with Versa-Flow filters just in case something happens to disrupt our supply of water. We have fallen in love with the kind and beautiful people of Balan. We have seen firsthand the impact contaminated water has upon the health of the people. So, we began collecting and sending these Versa-Flow filters to the people of Balan. There has never been a complaint about the quality of these filters there, and the positive impact of their effectiveness was almost immediate. These filters are a very affordable option for us in trying to do our part in serving our fellow human beings on this planet.

clean water in Haiti
After having installed over 400 Hydroblu filters in remote villages in Haiti and the Dominican Republic in the last 2years, I personally can attest that these filters are the best available. Having returned to these villages to see the results, I personally have seen the health change from sickness to truly healthy people. The results are most noticeable in the young children and the senior folks. The children go from running noises, extended stomachs, low energy to normal happy children in just 30 days. Clean water saves lives. Follow my adventures in the Hydroblu blog.
