The Versa Flow was designed to be as versatile as you. It easily adapts to your lifestyle and can be screwed onto a plastic water bottle, used inline with your hydration pack, used as a gravity system or bucket filter, or can be used as a straw so you can drink directly from the water source.

The Versa Flow water filter is one of the lightest and most convenient personal water filters on the market. Weighing in at only 2 ounces you don’t have to worry about adding extra weight to your pack or try to find a dedicated spot for it. It will fit virtually anywhere. This water filter is perfect for backpacking, hiking, camping, travel, and emergency preparedness.

Although it is lightweight, it is heavy in features. Every filter is built to exacting standards and exceeds EPA standards for filtration. The Versa Flow has many tiny tubes called hollow fiber. Hollow fiber works through size exclusion. Meaning the hollow fiber tubes have thousands of tiny holes (0.1 microns) that block 99.9999% of harmful bacteria, and 99.9999% of Giardia, E. coli, protozoan cysts and Cryptosporidium. All of these organisms are too large to fit through the 0.1 micron holes. Some manufacturers filter the water through the core of the hollow fiber tubes, but this restricts water flow because only so much water can fit through the core opening. We filter water through the outside of the tubes by bending the hollow fiber. This dramatically increases the surface area and flow rate of the filter while protecting the filter integrity itself. If the core of the tubes become clogged from sediment on the competitors filter you can no use the filter. The Versa Flow allows you to be able to backflush the filter, clearing out all of the particulate and increasing the lifespan of the filter. If you consistently backflush the filter you can use it almost indefinitely. This means no additional filters, cartridges, pumps, iodine drops, or batteries to ever buy again.

The Versa Flow water filter does not remove chemicals or viruses from water. Generally viruses are not found in North America or in municipal water supplies around the world. Check out the Clear Flow if you are concerned about heavy metals or chemicals in your water. Lightweight and low cost, the Versa Flow should be in everyone's backpack, survival gear or travel bag.

Can’t replace filters they are never in...

Posted by John Dunn on Sep 25th 2021

Been waiting for replacement filters and activated carbon filters to be in stock for months now. I email and get a expected date they will be in stock and when that comes I get told about her 4-6 weeks. I check every day hoping something changes and nothing. I only bought this filter because of the way the activated filter works with it and was promised they would be in stock soon if I purchased and here i sit waiting. I prolly should have just purchased the platypus filter with the carbon filter and just used it as a gravity filter. If I can’t find hydroblu activated carbon filters in the next two weeks for my trip coming up I am just buying a platypus filter.

Love the view window to check the filter status and the ability to add a carbon filter. Works great with CNOC for a complete system!

    Good Water...

Posted by Linda Vassallo on Dec 26th 2020

Just received so have not used on the trails. But I have tested the Versa Flow Water Filter at home and am impressed with the rate of water flow thru it. Much much better than my Sawyer Mini. The weight of the filter is the same as the Sawyer Mini-also good. Only challenge now is to find a 12-16 oz water bottle that will fit the filter’s screw-threads. The Crystal Geyser bottles I use do not fit and water will leak around the threads. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Looking forward to using the filter in the field

Lightweight, easy to use, and MUCH better flow than the other in-line filters I’ve used. The HydroBlu filter is now my go-to.

Have used this on several trips. I love using it with the 3 L dirty water bag as a gravity filter. Hang on a tree and filter directly into my pot or water bottle. I carry it if it is just for me or for my whole family. Flow rate still good after almost 3 years.

The filter is fine, although I was not aware that I could have gotten a kit that included accessories like bags and things for the same price on Amazon. Now I'll have to purchase those separately.(although I really like the concept)
